Students and staff at North Lamar High School spent the day Friday showing support for sophomore Zack Lester who is in a Dallas hospital following a single vehicle accident on January 16.
The student body and faculty filled the gym bleachers during a few minutes for a group picture of them holding signs made by the NLHS Art Department saying” “Team Zack #54” and “Zack Stone #54.”
To help raise money for medical costs, students paid to wear hats during the school day. Over $300 was raised to help the Lester family.
During lunches, students, teachers, and staff members recorded live messages in the library for Zack. The photo, recorded well-wishes, and money will be personally delivered to Zack letting him know his North Lamar family cares about him and anxiously awaits his return to school.
