Six students from North Lamar Independent School District will compete with other top spellers in the county for a chance to win the Lamar County Spelling Bee Championship title.
Co-champions from Frank Stone Middle School are eighth graders Mackenna Miller and Faith Stidham. Co-winners from Geneva Bailey Intermediate School are fifth graderRoselyn Spencer and fourth grader Emmah Klingler. Winners who will represent Aaron Parker Elementary School are the fifth-grader Grady Hall and fourth-grader Khadija Joudeh.
Students will compete at the Lamar County Spelling Bee on Tuesday, February 6 in Weger Auditorium at Paris Junior High.
