The Child Development and Parenting Classes at North Lamar High School took a trip downtown to volunteer at the Downtown Pumpkin Patch. Twenty-two students volunteered their time in the Downtown Paris area. Students had a mini-lesson on which pumpkins to use to make pumpkin pies and how to care for mums, but most importantly the students learned why it is important to help out in their community and just how fun volunteering can be.
