North Lamar Will Represent Lamar County At SkillsUSA State Competition

NLHS Automotive team will vie for state championships

Members of North Lamar’s SkillsUSA Automotive Technology team advanced to state after competing at Texas State Technical College (TSTC) in Waco on February 7-9.

Earning medals were Hayden Miller, first place in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair and second place in power Equipment Technology; Russel Meredith, first place in Power Equipment Technology; Cameron Clark, second place in both Diesel Technology and Marine Technology; the team of Natalie Wise, Jordan White and Cameron Clark, second place in Promotional Bulletin Board; Aaron Walton, second place in Motorcycle Technology; and Braxten McGuire, third place in Marine Technology.  The top two in each event advanced to the SkillsUSA State competition in Corpus Christi on April 3.  These students also earned scholarships from TSTC if they choose to attend.
