North Lamar’s One Act Play Advances To Area


NLHS’s One Act Play, The Sea Gull, held an open dress rehearsal Monday evening for the public.

The cast and crew of North Lamar High School’s One Act Play, The Sea Gull by Anton Chekhov, advanced to the area after competing at bi-district on March 10 in Sulphur Springs. Members of the show will compete at area on March 30 in Denison.

Cast members for the play are: Brian Slater (Medvedenko, a teacher), Kylie Jackson (Masha, Shamrayev’s daughter), Kyle Stanley (Sorin, Arkadina’s brother), Josh Kok(Konstantine, Arkadina’s son), Kylee Hilliard (Nina), Reyna Hildreth (Yakov, a servant), Grace Hignight (Arkadina, an actress), Seth Jones (Trigorin, a novelist), Abraham Prado(Dorn, a doctor), Trent Fells (Shamrayev, a manager of the estate), Ella Amis (Paulina, Shamrayev’s wife), Sadi English (Maid), Sophie Carl (Cook), Amanda Dean (Worker), andSarah Carl (Worker).  Crew members are Marli Dority, Aleeza Lee, Bodee Robinson, Jordyn White, and Armani Davis.  Directors for the One Act Play are Cody Head, Stephanie Easton, and Laura Hutchings.
