North Lamar’s Speech And Debate Leaves Mark At State

North Lamar High School’s Speech and Debate team won second place at the UIL Academic State Meet on May 22.

Zach Huffman was named the Conference 4A State Champion in Informative Speaking. Katie Hodgkiss placing sixth in the same event, and Colin Hodgkiss placed second in Persuasive Speaking.

Earlier in the spring, the team of Katie Hodgkiss and Mason Remaley won the Cross Examination State Championship.  Overall North Lamar has ranked fourth academically.
