North Texas Man Who Murdered Family Executed

A North Texas man has been put to death for murdering his family. The TDCJ says in December of 2009, John Hummel of Colleyville used a baseball bat to beat to death his pregnant wife, his five-year-old daughter, and his father-in-law. He had been sentenced to die last March, but the state postponed his execution due to the pandemic. So last night, Hummell used his final words to pray, express regret, and thank his supporters.
