North Texas Police Officer Murdered

A North Texas police officer was fatally shot at a Richardson apartment complex around 7:00 pm Wednesday. The suspect, who had been barricaded inside an apartment unit for more than four hours, was taken into custody around 11:45 pm. The officer who died was shot in the neck while responding to a disturbance. His identity has not been made public.
