Northeast Texas Local Board Plan Two-Year Modification Available For Public Comment

Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas is responsible for the implementation and oversight of workforce development services in the nine-county Northeast Texas region, which includes Bowie, Cass, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Morris, Red River, and Titus Counties.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires that at the end of the first two-year period of the four-year local Board plan, Boards review the local plan for any necessary modifications. The Board must prepare and submit modifications to reflect changes in the labor market, economic conditions, and other factors affecting the implementation of the plan. The Northeast Texas two-year modification of the Board Plan for Program Years 2017-2020 will be available for public comment for a 30-day period from December 11, 2018 – January 12, 2019.  Any comments received after the deadline will not be considered.
