Off-Duty Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputy Disrupts Burglary

An off-duty Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle at a residence in the 1100-block of Mockingbird and knew it did not belong there. The Deputy observed two people exit the residence, enter the vehicle and leave. The deputy followed and had the vehicle stopped by an on-duty deputy. The suspects were seen throwing property out of the vehicle which officers recovered. It was found to have been taken from the residence and the investigation continues.
