One Child Dead, One Hospitalized From Suspected Carbon Monoxide

Redwater ISD reported the death of a seventh-grade boy and the hospitalization of his 16-year-old sister in a tragic home accident. State Troopers arrived and found the girl unresponsive on the porch and the boy unresponsive inside the home. The boy was pronounced dead, and the girl remains hospitalized in Little Rock. The house was without electricity and heated with a gas-powered generator, and they think carbon monoxide poisoning is the cause of this tragedy.
