In a continuing effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against childhood cancer, two families from Lamar County, the Hallfords and the Faulkners, are hosting a lemonade and lunch stand on Saturday, June 2, from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm at Tractor Supply Co. in Paris, TX during Lemonade Days. The second annual lemonade and lunch stand will honor childhood cancer heroes Madilyn Hallford and Sierra Faulkner and benefit childhood cancer research through Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).
Although Madilyn, 3, and Sierra, 4, live about ten miles away from each other, they did not meet until they were diagnosed in 2016 and treated at Children’s Hospital Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Dallas. Now, with the help of their families, they are choosing to make lemonade out of lemons.
