Hopkins County Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning on I-30 at the 120-mile marker just west of Sulphur Springs. The vehicle reportedly went off the north service road, crashed into the US 67 bridge, and overturned. The driver, identified as a 36-year-old man, died at the scene. Further investigation revealed that the owner had reported the vehicle he was driving stolen from an address on Lee Street. Officials think it is related to numerous other vehicle burglaries and car thefts that happened overnight in Sulphur Springs. They did not identify the deceased that could have ties to Hopkins County.
