A collision between an SUV and an 18-wheeler in McCurtain County claimed the life of an Arkansas man and shut down Hwy 259 near Idabel for more than 13 hours. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said an SUV driven by Brandon Ladell Roberts of Texarkana, Arkansas, crossed the center line and hit an oncoming 18-wheeler head-on. The SUV then left the pavement and landed in deep standing water. Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene.
