One Dead In Wood County Crash

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on SH-37, south of Quitman. Investigators say 64-year-old Laurence Dale Banks, of Quitman, was stopped to turn onto a private drive when 19-year-old Dawson Emory Sims, of Quitman, struck Banks’s vehicle. Both vehicles traveled into the west ditch. Banks was transported to a Tyler hospital where he later died.
