UPDATE One Dead, One Injured in Major Lamar County Crash

A husband is dead and his  wife injured  in a major single vehicle crash Tuesday night in the 10,000 block of Hwy 271 in Deport. Investigators say their vehicle ran off the road, hit a guardrail and overturned.  Initial reports indicate the man died at the scene and the woman was transported to a local hospital. Names have not been released pending notifications of the next of kin.
