Oscar Winner Honored With Degree From Jarvis Christian College

Actor, comedian, and musician Jamie Foxx received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins. The Oscar winner was honored for his activism and community service. Dr. Foxx, who hails from Terrell, Texas, will also serve as a visiting distinguished professor at Jarvis.
