Texas has administered more than 3.6 million doses of the COVID vaccines. Imelda Garcia, the Department of State Health Services associate commissioner, says nearly a million Texans have received vaccinations, and they expect the pace to continue to rise. Texas is also hoping to receive an additional 80-thousand dose through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. In the next couple of weeks, FEMA will be administering 6,000 doses per day at their Houston super-vaccination site and three-thousand per day at two locations in North Texas.
