Parents Suing Allen ISD Over Masking Mandate

A group of parents who want masks worn in the Allen schools is taking the fight to federal court. The Class Action suit names Allen ISD in a right-to-life complaint. School parent and registered nurse Therissa Grefsrud says the school board should follow the recommendations of health care professionals, regardless of Governor Abbott’s Executive Order that bars mask laws. The suit says the constitutional right to life outweighs the governor. The school district is declining comment.
