Paris City Council Considering Privatizing Trash Collections

At this week’s Paris City Council meeting, the council voted unanimously to hire Solid Waste Specialists to prepare a request for proposals for the privatization of commercial and residential trash service. However, going out for recommendations, collecting bids, and choosing a company to manage the trash could take six to ten months.
