Paris City Council Meeting

The Paris City Council will meet tonight for a public hearing to discuss the proposed budget and tax rate. About 4.7 million has been added to the budget, most of which will increase police officer salaries from $56,000 to $70,000 annually. The proposed property tax rate is 46.12 cents per $100,000 valuation. That is divided into 31.29 cents for maintenance and operations and 14.82 cents for debt service. City tax on a $100,000 would be $461.
