Paris City Council To Discuss PEDC Funds Tonight

The Paris City Council will meet tonight at 5:30 and consider putting an item on the November General Election ballot giving voters the option to stop giving the Paris Economic Development Corporation a quarter-cent sales tax allotment. The ballot could give voters the option to instead use the money for street and road maintenance. Another agency would take over economic development if voters decide to terminate tax funding of the PEDC.
