The Paris City Council meets in special session at 5:30 this evening, and one agenda item directs the City Attorney to prepare formal notification that Paris Regional Medical Center may be in default of its tax abatement. Recently the south campus of the hospital was closed. Lamar County has amended the abatement agreement. Also on the agenda is a public hearing on a proposed tax increase will be held.
