Paris Council Passes Housing Project

By a 6-1 vote, the Paris City Council voted in favor of a  resolution supporting a  housing project to be built on Lamar Avenue near the Reno city limits. Mayor Dr. AJ Hashmi cast the only vote against the resolution.   The developer, State Street Housing  will now submit an application for a tax credit to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for a new apartment complex. A proposal for proposed senior citizen  housing on Sunrise Drive and 42nd St. NE was unanimously turned down.
