PHS Blue Blazes Band marches off with awards
The Paris High School Marching Band marched off the contest field this past weekend in Mount Pleasant with top honors in the Northeast Texas Marching Festival.
The band received the Most Outstanding Color Guard award and won 1st Division or Superior ratings in all categories: drum major, percussion, color guard, and band. Bands and color guards from 22 area high schools performed.
Jared Cronk, Assistant Band Director and Director of Color Guard said, “We competed against 4A and 5A schools for the award. I can speak for myself and the entire band staff about how proud we are of the dedication, professionalism, and hard work they exhibit on a daily basis.”
