Paris High School drama students inducted into International Thespian Society
International Thespian Society (ITS) inducted ten current and former Paris High School drama students, the honor society for secondary school theater students. The honorees were all members of PHS Troupe 1340, directed by instructor Amy Burrows, in the 2015-2016 academic year and included graduates Tiesha Easter, Molly Jackson, Caroline Janes, Maggie Maxwell, Alex Montellano, Darrius Samuels, Kala Vickers, and Erin Wright and current students, Ana Luna and Shelby Wilson.
Each of the inductees has completed over one hundred hours of excellent work in theater arts and related disciplines. According to ITS Membership Manager Brian Benz, “In doing so, they have acquired essential twenty-first-century life and career skills that include creativity and innovation, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and effective communication.” Alumni of this prestigious award include Jane Lynch, John Goodman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Tom Hanks.
