Paris ISD Not Viewing Eclipse

Paris ISD schools not directly viewing the eclipse

Paris Independent School District will not allow children outside during the Aug. 21 solar eclipse because of the potential harm to students who look at the sun.

Texas will see a partial eclipse sometime between 11:40 am and 2:30 pm Central Daylight Time.

Teachers are encouraged to observe this educational opportunity through classroom activities. NASA is covering the eclipse live at https://www.nasa.gov/eclipselive. This broadcast will allow students to see the eclipse safely.

For more information about school activities, please contact a campus principal.
