Paris ISD Students Participate In Veterans Day Contest

Students from Aikin Elementary and Justiss Elementary recently showcased their creativity and patriotism through a Veterans Day poster contest. Signature Home Health and Companion Care and Waterford Hospice proudly sponsored this event. The theme for the competition was “Proud To Be An American,” which required students to incorporate a solid veteran-related element into their artwork.

During a special ceremony at Paris Coffee Company, they celebrated the winning students’ outstanding contributions on Tuesday morning. They presented each winner with:

  • A Certificate of Achievement: Recognizing their talent and dedication
  • Monetary Prize: To encourage them to continue pursuing their creative endeavors
  • Paris Coffee Gift Card: A token of appreciation for their hard work and creativity from Steve Martin, owner of Paris Coffee Company

Winners from Aikin Elementary fourth grade are:

Winners from Justiss Elementary fourth grade are:

1st – Oliver Estrada

2nd – Bristynn High

3rd – Arleth Contreras

Los estudiantes de las escuelas primarias Aikin y Justiss mostraron recientemente su creatividad y patriotismo a través de un concurso de carteles del Día de los Veteranos. Signature Home Health and Companion Care y Waterford Hospice patrocinaron con orgullo este evento. El tema de la competencia fue “Orgulloso de ser estadounidense”, que requería que los estudiantes incorporaran un elemento sólido relacionado con los veteranos en su obra de arte.

Durante una ceremonia especial en Paris Coffee Company, celebraron las contribuciones sobresalientes de los estudiantes ganadores el martes por la mañana. Obsequiaron a cada ganador:

  • Un Certificado de Logro: Reconociendo su talento y dedicación
  • Premio Monetario: Para alentarlos a continuar con sus esfuerzos creativos

Danielle Termin, Business Development Representative for Signature Home Health and Companion Care and Waterford Hospice, expressed her admiration for the participants, stating, “It is our greatest honor to serve those who have served this wonderful country and to pass on the importance of selfless service to the younger generation. We were so touched by the patriotism shown in the submitted works of art!” With plans to continue annually, this competition promises to be a staple in the community’s Veterans Day celebrations, ensuring that we never forget the legacy of veterans.
