From Paris-Lamar Health District
Here is the allocation list for the sixth week. Listed with the Paris Lamar County Health District, Lamar County receives 400 vaccines over the next week. The city, county, emergency management services, and health district are working together and requesting from state leadership that we have a hub for our local counties in Paris. The health district has about 1200 people on its waiting list. They will contact the people eligible to get vaccines from this allotment when it arrives. If you call and leave a message at the health department, we add you to the list. We are still in the 1A, 1B phase of health care workers, first responders, or people over 65. We have just three phone lines, and that helps run our clinic as well. We are working with the city and county to establish a call center for people interested in vaccines. More to come soon as we all continue to work together. Despite vaccination, continue to mask up, not have large gatherings, stay six feet from people, and use good hand hygiene!
