Monday just before noon, Paris First Responders responded to an individual who had fallen from a bridge on the Trail de Paris, about 100 yards NE from the 9th NW and Shiloh intersection. A witness told officers that he knew the man and had stopped his bicycle to visit with him. The witness explained that the guy leaned back and fell over the rail onto the extended bridge surface and rolled off into the concrete ditch below. John Ludy Glass, 49, of Paris, fell about 15 feet onto the concrete. Mr. Glass was conscious, breathing, and flown from the scene to Plano by helicopter for further evaluation. The investigation will continue when officers can interview Mr. Glass.
