Paris Man Pleads Not Guilty To Murder Charge

Asa Coker, 19, pleaded not guilty to murder at his arraignment in Lamar County this week before District Judge Wes Tidwell. Coker is accused of killing 30-year-old Jason Payne of Paris. He’s represented by Sulphur Springs’ attorney Clay Johnson and remains in the Lamar County Jail under $1 million bond.
