Paris Meetings Scheduled In Connection With “Mayor-at-Large”

As part of a plan to have a Mayor-at-Large system of government, the Paris City Council has developed a revised voting district map, which is required by the federal Voting Rights Act and is typically done following redistricting. The final draft of the redistricting map is available for viewing at: https://www.paristexas.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=399.

The City Council will hold an informal discussion on Monday, January 10, at 5:30 pm regarding this proposed map. Then, a public hearing to approve the final version of the redistricting map will be held on Monday, January 24, at 5:30 pm.  These are public meetings.
