Paris News Report: State Of Texas And Local Election Websites

The League of Women Voters of Texas told KUT90.5, the University of Texas public radio station, that 201 of the 254 counties in the state don’t show in their URLs that their election website is secure. The Paris News reports that the KUT studies indicate that the Lamar, Delta, Red River, and Fannin County websites are unsecured URL’s. Multiple rural Texas counties were recently victims of Ransomware attacks on their computer systems. Most of the area counties report that they have taken measures to increase security.
