Paris PD Busy Over Holiday Weekend

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of W Campbell for a traffic violation. The driver  34 year old , Byron Medford was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Paris police made contact with Malik Sims in the 300 block of NW 3rd and arrested him one an outstanding warrant for burglary of a habitation.

Paris police were called to the 1400 block of Sperry on a burglary complaint and were told that several tools had been taken from the vacant rent house which was under renovation. All but one item was located and returned and the investigation is ongoing.

Paris police responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of NE 3rd  and learned that a man had forced entry into the residence and assaulted the complainant. Officers were also told that the suspect and the complainant had been involved in a relationship but that the suspect did not live at the residence. The investigation is ongoing.

Paris Police responded to the 900 block of NE 7th after someone took the condenser from the complainant’s residential air conditioner. No witnesses could be located at the time of the report.

Paris Police responded to the 2800 block of NE Loop 286 and were told  that someone had forcibly entered the space the complainant had rented. Officers were advised that numerous items had been taken from the location. The investigation is ongoing.
