A longtime Paris Police Officer has died after a battle with COVID-19. The beloved East Texas police officer has died following a battle with COVID-19. Det. Chris Widner passed away on Sunday. He had been hospitalized in Tyler and had been on a ventilator for nearly two weeks. Services are pending.
