Paris PD Warns of New Scam

Paris police are warning local residents of a new phone scam perpetrated by callers pretending to be representatives of Dell Computer. They are claiming they need access to  your computer to fix various problems or install updates. They are also asking for payment for prior fixes. Those receiving calls should call a special Dell Hotline at 866-453-1742 or the Paris PD or Lamar County Sheriff’s office.
