Paris Police Report For Friday (Feb 10)

Paris Police spoke with a victim of fraud at 10:55 am Thursday. The victim reported that they had received a notification from a delivery service stating they had attempted to bring a package to the victim. Still, they could not locate the house, and the victim would have to pay an additional delivery fee for the parcel. The victim gave the caller their bank debit card number. The victim later discovered that someone had removed two large amounts from their account. The incident is under investigation.

Reggie Lamont McCarty

At 4:42 Thursday morning, Paris Police responded to a criminal trespass in the 3800 block of Lamar Ave. Officers located and arrested Reggie Lamont McCarty, 46, of Paris, who had criminally trespassed from the property. During the investigation, McCarty had stolen some merchandise. Due to McCarty having at least two prior convictions for theft, they charged McCarty with felony theft, booked and transferred him to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 95 calls for service and arrested one person on Thursday (Feb 9).
