Paris Police Report For Friday (Feb 17)

Paris Police responded to a business burglary in the 2700 block of E. Cherry St at 9:10 Thursday morning. The owner reported that someone had broken into numerous storage units in a climate-controlled building on February 10, 2023. They have yet to determine what items may be missing from each due to the renters needing more time to inventory their stored items. The investigation continues.

Roy Gene Jones, Jr.

Paris Police observed Roy Gene Jones, Jr., 43, of Paris, in the 100-block of NE 25th St and knew that Jones had a felony Lamar County warrant for his arrest. Officers arrested Jones on a warrant charging him with the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance of more than four grams but less than 200. Jones was booked and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Brian Keith Shugart, 45, of Paris, was located at his residence and arrested on a Lamar County warrant charging him with possession of a controlled substance of less than one gram. They placed Shugart in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 64 calls for service and arrested four people on Thursday (Feb 16).
