Paris Police Report For Friday (Jun 22)

Thursday afternoon Paris Police arrested Damon Morris, 49, on an outstanding warrant out of Lamar County for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance.

Officers arrested Chadric Dixon, 35, on an outstanding warrant for criminal non-support.

David Thomas | Misty Smith

Thursday evening around 7:00, officers attempted to stop David Thomas, 39 and Misty Smith 19. Thomas pulled to the side of the road numerous times but would pull out again. The officers finally got him stopped in the 200-block of County Road 44045. They found them in possession of an approximately half-ounce of methamphetamine, digital scales, and a marijuana pipe. Officers arrested them for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance. Smith had misdemeanor warrants out of the municipal court and Lamar County.

Paris Police arrested Ashley Canida, 27, who was in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and other pills. She also had misdemeanor warrants out of Lamar County.

Christopher Homsey

Officers worked a possible intoxicated driver that ended on the 300-block of SW loop and arrested Christopher Homsey, 47. Homsey’s charge was enhanced to a felony offense when officers learned that he had two previous convictions for driving while intoxicated.

A victim reported another fraud after an unknown subject attempted to pass a counterfeit $20 in the 2200-block of Clarksville.

The Department received a report which alleged that a person took improper photographs of a minor. The investigation is ongoing.

Paris Police responded to 99 calls for service and arrested nine people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Friday (Jun 22).
