Paris Police Report for Friday June 30

Paris Police observed 33-year-old  Fernandez Hearn in the 100 block of W Provine and knew he had an outstanding warrant for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor warrant. They conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle being driven by Hearn and he was arrested for the warrants, which stemmed from the execution of search warrants 2 weeks ago where synthetic drugs were seized.

Paris Police responded to a burglary complaint in the 1300 block of NE 3rd and was told that during the night a blue Dodge pickup pulled behind the building and a man stole three gas cans from under an attached awning. The complainant then called back and said that he had located the suspect’s vehicle and his gas cans in the 400 block of NE 8th. Officers made contact with 24-year-old Jorge Ortiz who admitted to the theft of the gas cans and was arrested.
