Paris Police Report For Monday (Dec 18)

Patrick Moore

Friday morning Paris Police arrested Patrick Moore, 47, on three outstanding warrants that included assault of family with previous convictions, parole violation, and misdemeanor.

Officer responded to a burglary in the 2400 block of S Church. An unknown suspect had forced entry into the building and took four televisions. The investigation is ongoing.

Nathan Thompson

Saturday afternoon Paris Police worked a shoplifter case in the 3800 block of Lamar Ave. They arrested Nathan Thompson, 29, allegedly with numerous concealed items, including a game console, toys in a trash can, and attempted to leave the store without purchasing the items. Thompson was also found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.

Roxanne Huber

Just before 5:00 Saturday evening, officers arrested Roxanne Huber, 58, after a traffic stop in the 3200 block of S Church. Reportedly police found Huber in possession of small amounts of marijuana and methamphetamine.

Police worked a burglary in the 200 block of NW 31st of a residence complaint. Reportedly a tall, slim male attempted to gain entry into the complainant’s house by opening a door. The suspect fled after observing the owner inside.

Daniel Walker

Sunday morning at 7:15 Paris Police observed Daniel Walker, 27, striking a vehicle with his fist in the 3300 block of Pine Mill Road. When the attempted to detain Walker he tried to flee and hit an Officer in the face with an elbow. They learned that Walker had choked the driver of the vehicle. Walker was placed under arrest and charged with assaulting a family member/impeding breath, assault of a public servant, and two misdemeanor charges. The officer sustained a minor injury.

Police worked a traffic accident in the 1400 block of Neathery. Officers arrested Wasmecia Jeffery, 31, on two outstanding warrants out of Lamar County, one for manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance and the other a misdemeanor warrant.

Officers responded to the 100 block of E Oak Ave in regards to a burglar alarm. An unknown suspect had forced entry into the building and then fled before police arrived. The investigation is ongoing.

Another burglary occurred in the 2800 block of Cypress Drive. An unknown suspect broke into a vehicle and took a .40 caliber handgun.

The second burglary of a vehicle occurred in the 900 block of N Main. An unknown suspect had taken a tan and brown 1986 Chevrolet pick-up from that location. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Hearon in regards to an aggravated assault complaint. Reportedly a known suspect had attempted to hit the complainant with a vehicle in the 600 block of SE 10th. The victim was able to avoid the incident, and the suspect fled the scene.

Paris Police responded to 247 calls for service and arrested 14 people over the three-day weekend ending at 6:00 am Monday (Dec 18).
