Zachary Taylor Roth
Paris Police arrested Zachary Taylor Roth, 45, at his residence in the 400-block of W. Shiloh St at 5:33 P.M. on Tuesday, Jan 17. Roth had an outstanding felony probation violation warrant out of Lamar County on a possession of a controlled substance conviction. Officers booked and placed Roth in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police worked with a victim on the phone about fraud Sunday night at 8:49. A known person came to their store in the 2700 block of E. Price and wrote a check for a purchase that the bank says is fraudulent. The incident is under investigation.
Officers worked a vehicle burglary on Saturday morning at 9:45 that had occurred in the 1100 block of NE 36th St. The victim thinks they left their car unlocked and someone had stolen a firearm from it sometime during the night. The incident is under investigation.
Police responded to a 60 W. Washington shooting at 2:42 Sunday afternoon. Officers located a 50-year-old Hispanic male with a gunshot wound to his face. They think the shooting happened in an empty apartment. They transported the victim to PRMC’s ER for treatment and later transferred him to a Dallas area hospital. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to 203 calls for service and arrested ten people over the weekend ending Sunday at midnight on Jan 29.
