Paris Police Report For Monday (Mar 12)

 

Sunday around 11:00, Paris Police responded to the 1800-block of W Henderson about a stabbing. Reportedly the victim had confronted an unknown white male that was “messing with a lock” on a vehicle. The suspect ran through the backyard, and the victim chased him. When the victim caught the suspect, the person punched the victim in his stomach and ran away. The victim later discovered that he had stabbed him and called 9-1-1 for assistance. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. The victim refused medical treatment. The incident is under investigation.

Decarlos Alton Smith

Decarlos Alton Smith, 40, of Paris, was arrested at 11:38 A.M. last Thursday in the 600-block of SW 6th and charged with burglary of a habitation, tampering with evidence, evading arrest, and a traffic warrant. The investigation showed that Smith entered a residence in the George Wright Homes community and assaulted the resident. When the officer located Smith, Smith ran from the officer and admitted to throwing a small baggie of narcotics into a wooded area. Officers also found that Smith had an outstanding traffic warrant. Smith is in the Lamar County Jail.

Rodarian Montrell Davis

Paris Police Investigators made contact with Rodarian Montrell Davis, 32, and found that he was in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. They arrested Davis.

Matthew Lynn Gilbert

Officers located Matthew Lynn Gilbert, 18, of Paris, and learned he had outstanding warrants. Gilbert ran from officers. They discovered Gilbert was in possession of methamphetamine. He is now Lamar County Jail, for substance, evading arrest and four warrants.

Samuel Vernon Taylor

Paris Police worked a suspicious person call in the 400-block of Grand Ave Friday afternoon after 2:00. Officers located Samuel Vernon Taylor, 32, and placed him under arrest for public intoxication.

Matthew Kyle Sugg | Randall Keith Dudley

Officers responded to a possible narcotics violation in the 2800-block of Cypress Dr. During the investigation, officers located two suspects that admitted that they were in possession of marijuana, a small amount of a controlled substance, and two handguns. They arrested were Matthew Kyle Sugg, 19, of Paris, and Randall Keith Dudley, 20, of Blossom.

William Tanner Hindman

Paris Police Officers arrested William Tanner Hindman for outstanding traffic warrants. Hindman was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine. They later transferred him to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 234 calls for service and arrested 18 people over the past 72-hour weekend ending at midnight Sunday (Mar 11).
