Wednesday afternoon, Paris Police arrested Joe Finney, 49, on an outstanding warrant for indecency with a child/sexual contact. The warrant stemmed from a case reported April 11 when Finney allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a 17-year-old.

Paris Police Officers and Lamar County Deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1500-block of Van Zandt. They arrested Victor McCulloch, 25, Maranda McCulloch, 28, and Rodrick Rose, 40. Reportedly they found the three in possession of approximately two ounces of synthetic marijuana and less than two ounces of marijuana. They charged them with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance. Rose allegedly had Ecstasy in his possession.
Victor McCulloch reportedly had a firearm and was charged with felon in possession of a weapon. They charged Maranda McCulloch with assault of a public servant after she kicked an officer several times.
A victim came into the Police Department and reported that an unknown suspect used complainant’s identifying information to conduct financial transactions from the victim’s bank account. The investigation is ongoing.
Paris Police responded to 113 calls for service and arrested eight people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Thursday (Apr 19).
