Paris Police Report for Thursday August 24

 

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 10 block of E Sherman in Paris and as a result made contact with 32-year-old Blake Lindsey and 27-year-old and Katie Westbrook. They were found to have outstanding warrants for abandoning/endangering a child with criminal negligence and were arrested.

Paris Police responded to a report of a robbery in the 1500 block of Clarksville and was told by the complainant that two men had attempted to take his wallet. The complainant was able to maintain control of the wallet and the two suspects fled the scene. Officers located the suspects a few blocks away. James Phillips, 19, and a juvenile were arrested for theft from a person.

Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 1000 block of Dickson Ave and was told that a known suspect had allegedly pointed a firearm at the complainant while threatening the complainant. The incident allegedly occurred after an altercation between the two the previous day.

Officers responded to the 1900 block of Pine Bluff in Paris in regards to a disturbance that had happened at another location. Officers were told that during a confrontation between two men inside a moving vehicle one of the subjects felt threatened as the other allegedly displayed a handgun. The victim said he jumped from the vehicle and ran as the suspect fired a single shot in his direction. The victim was not injured and the investigation is ongoing.
