Officers arrested Justin Markeith Garnes, 38, Wednesday in the 3900 block of N. Main for an outstanding parole warrant. Officers took him into custody without incident and transferred him to Lamar County.
On Wednesday, officers responded to the 1600 block of W. Campbell, referencing a Burglary of Residence. The victim reported that the subjects had taken assorted power tools and building materials, like wiring, from the residence without permission. A witness advised that they had observed two subjects leaving the area on February 11 under suspicious circumstances and had spoken with them. Officers collected evidence at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
Early Thursday, officers worked an armed robbery in the 600 block of W. Kaufman. The victim, who was delivering a food order, was taking an order to an address in the area when a suspect confronted him by displaying a firearm and demanded the food and the victim’s cash. The victim turned over all requested items to the suspect. The suspect then left the area on foot and headed south on SW 3rd. The victim went to the initial address of the order, and they told him that they had not ordered food. Officers spoke with the victim and took all information for a report. The incident is open and continues.
For this reporting period, officers made 17 traffic stops, arrested three adults, and answered 106 calls for service.

La madrugada del jueves, los oficiales realizaron un robo a mano armada en la cuadra 600 de W. Kaufman. La víctima, que estaba entregando un pedido de comida, estaba llevando un pedido a una dirección en el área cuando un sospechoso lo confrontó mostrando un arma de fuego y exigió la comida y el dinero en efectivo de la víctima. La víctima entregó todos los artículos solicitados al sospechoso. Luego, el sospechoso abandonó el área a pie y se dirigió hacia el sur por SW 3rd. La víctima acudió a la dirección inicial del pedido y le dijeron que no habían pedido comida. Los oficiales hablaron con la víctima y tomaron toda la información para un informe. El incidente está abierto y continúa.
