Paris Police Report For Thursday Jul 6

Wednesday morning at 7:30 Paris Police responded to the 3100 block of Graham in regards to a motorcycle lying next to the roadway. At 9:00 officers learned that someone took the bike up the street during the night.

John Smith

Wednesday morning Paris Police arrested John Smith, 34, in the 1200 block of Fitzhugh. Smith had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for possession of controlled substance.

Just before 9:00 am Paris Police responded to the 200 block of N Collegiate in regards to a criminal mischief. During the night a bullet had passed through the roof of the building causing damage.

Wednesday afternoon after 3:00 officers responded to the adult probation office and arrested Russell Helsel, 22, for outstanding warrants for motion to revoke probation and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Paris Police responded to a traffic hazard in the 2400 block of Lamar Ave. Officers arrested Sheri Willhite, 45, in the 2100 block of Lamar Ave. She was riding a bicycle in and out of traffic. They found her in possession of methamphetamine.

Around 4:30 pm Wednesday police responded to the 400 block of NE 8th in regards to criminal trespassing. Officers arrested Lisa Payton, 40, who had an outstanding bond surrender warrant.

Another complaint that occurred over night happened in the 600 block of E Price. A known suspect allegedly damaged the complainant’s vehicle in the area of 8th and Tudor. They also attempted to hit the owner by accelerating toward them with the car. No one was injured.

Officers responded to the 600 block of NE 5th in regards to a theft of a vehicle. Someone took a red Suzuki GSX1300R motorcycle from that location. A suspect also took a four-wheeler from the 3000 block of Aikin Drive. Police recovered in in the 2800 block of Lamar Ave.

A victim complained that two suspects robbed them at knifepoint in the 300 block of NE 6th.

Paris Police responded to 132 calls for service and arrested ten people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Thursday (Jul 6).
