Paris Police Report for Thursday July 7

 

Officers responded to a report of a possible sexual assault in the 1500 block of Lamar Avenue in Paris. No other information has been disclosed and the investigation is ongoing.

Paris Police made contact with 26-year-old  Rocoria Moten after a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Lamar Ave.  He was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Harris County for criminal nonsupport and was arrested.

Paris Police responded to the 600 block of E Hearon to serve a warrant. Officers saw 42-year-old Rickey Dotson run to the back of the residence while attempting to conceal something in his hands. Contact was made with Dotson inside home and Dotson was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. Dotson was arrested on a  bond surrender warrant as well as possession of a controlled substance, and evading arrest.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of SE 24th in Paris and were told that 42-year-old Jimmy Seat, Jr. hit his girlfriend with numerous objects. Police arrested Seat for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and the victim was transported to the hospital.

Paris Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief in the 700 block of S Church. Someone had driven an unknown type of vehicle into the complainant’s fence causing substantial damage.

Paris Police are investigating the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle that allegedly occurred in the 4100 block of Pine Mill Road. A known suspect had taken the complainant’s Toyota Camry and refused to return the vehicle.
