Paris Police Report For Thursday (May 17)

Gerald Cooper

Wednesday morning Paris Police arrested Gerald Cooper, 55, in the 2500-block of N. Main in regards to a warrant. The county wanted Cooper for burglary of a habitation. Officers discovered Cooper was in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Rocoria Moten

Officers arrested Rocoria Moten, 27, in the 1700-block of Lamar Ave after a traffic stop. Moten had an outstanding warrant for criminal non-support.

 

Christopher Atteberry | Russell Jones

Police executed a search warrant in the 1000-block of NE 20th. As officers approached the rear of the residence, Christopher Atteberry, 47, fled on foot. Atteberry had an outstanding parole violation warrant. During a search of the house, officers found drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine and the resident, Russell Jones, 57, with possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge.

Taquisha Battle

Officers responded the adult probation office and arrested Taquisha Battle, 27, on two outstanding motions to revoke probation warrants.

Angela Martin

Pairs Police worked a disturbance in the 2400-block of Simpson and arrested Angela Martin, 37, who approached an officer while screaming at the officer and then struck the officer in the face. As the officer was attempting to place Martin under arrest, Martin grabbed the officer. Police charged Martin with assault of a public servant and a misdemeanor charge.

Police worked a burglary of a house in the 700-block of E. Price. An unknown suspect had entered the complainant’s residence and took a television and a game console.

Officers worked a fraud in the 3200-block of Graham Street. Allegedly an unknown suspect had fraudulently filed an income tax return in the complainant’s name. The investigation is ongoing.

Paris Police responded to 116 calls for service and arrested nine people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Thursday (May 17).
