Paris Police Report for Tuesday August 15

 

Paris Police are investigating a robbery complaint that occurred in the 2200 block of Hubbard. Unknown suspects had taken pizzas from a delivery person at gunpoint.

Paris Police responded to the 900 block of Clarksville Street to investigate a shoplifter complaint. Officers observed 51-year-old Priscilla Johnson fighting with a store employee who had caught her stealing meat. She was arrested for robbery, violation of her parole, possession of a controlled substance and several misdemeanor warrants.

Paris Police responded to a theft complaint in the 2900 block of Margaret and learned that an unknown suspect had stolen several rings from the complainant’s residence. No suspects have been identified and the investigation is continuing.

Paris Police are investigating a theft that occurred in the 2700 block of Ballard Drive. A suspect known to the complainant had allegedly stolen a .25 caliber handgun and several items of jewelry.

Officers responded to a fraud complaint in the 3000 block of NE Loop 286 in Paris. Officers were told that a known person had passed a counterfeit $20 bill while conducting a transaction. The person passing the bill was still on scene and stated that he had received the bill during a transaction at another location. The investigation is ongoing.
